Gladiator

This week I read  "Gladiator" by Dewy Gram.

At the end of the 2nd century, Roman general Maximus was sought after by the emperor Marcus Aurelius after winning the war with the Germans.  Maximus refused, but he was jealous of Prince Commodorus, and his wife and children in his hometown were slaughtered.  Maximus becomes a slave, bought by Proximo in Morocco and trained as a Gladiator.  Maximus returns to the Colosseum in Rome, where he confronts Emperor Commodorus.

No matter how big the power or the high rank, the support of the people is the most important in Rome. The story was easy to understand, and I was very moved at the end.  It has been made into a movie and is a very popular work.  I want you to read it.
